Sad News and Anniversaries of Sad News

I learned today of the death of a friend and colleague of friends of mine, Seth Fisher. Details at this Pulse Comics News article or this one at Newsarama.com if you prefer. His most recent work that I'd managed to lay hands on personally was with
crisper on Legends of the Dark Knight for DC...which I enjoyed. I think that was as much in part due to the fact that his art style was very much at odds in its way with my traditional understanding of the Batman as anything else, including Dan and JH Williams III's writing. Sorry I won't be seeing anything else from him, that's for sure.
Under sad anniversaries...Columbia.
kradical reminded me of the fact.
Rest well, o Columbia Seven. You will be honoured, preferably by the continuation of your Great Work.

Date: 2006-02-04 04:29 pm (UTC)He was, however, a friend and colleague to friends of mine as noted in the original posting, and I was impressed by the work I'd seen with his name attached to it.
And as to taking care? I'm doing my best on that.
