The best news-stand in the Glebe, no more, it seems. I bought comics, and newspapers. Magazines about architecture, computers, urban infrastructure, sports...books about the neighbourhoods of old Ottawa too, there, as well as mysteries and crime dramas by the Ladies' Killing Circle authors.

No more, it seems...

Warning re: "Hulu Plus" for GMail Users

For those of you on my friendlist here who have GMail accounts: if any of you have gotten an e-mail - could've been today, could've been earlier in the week - from an outfit calling itself "Hulu Plus" claiming that you have subscribed to their TV-over-the-web service?

Scam. Scam. SCAM.

The clue for me was their getting the last four digits on my credit card wrong. And I sure as Hell didn't remember signing up with any such service in the first place.

So, heads up.

Actually, some of you may have gotten that spam-scam e-mail no matter what e-mail provider(s) you're using. Or may be about to receive it.

Again, heads up.
