Let's just say that Environment Canada's persuaded me to hole up at the public library branch nearest to home a bit longer than planned.

Will let everyone know when I'm home safe enough.

I'm hearing that we finally lost this particular giant of science fiction and fantasy, of prose and television today.

My own most personal debt to the man is for adapting the original Kolchak Files novel by Jeff Rice into the teleplay The Night Stalker. If not for that, so much else that I enjoyed later on wouldn't have happened.

Rest well, good sir. I'm sorry I never got to thank you directly for that.
