I can't help but feel that it's a Very Bad Idea to defy the election law on this particular point.

Tod Maffin holds the same thinking, but he went one better: he explains why it could backfire on the country.

It makes sense to me.

Joe Fiorito Remembers Allan Blakeney

Mr. Blakeney was the premier of Saskatchewan during much of the time I lived out there. And in Mr. Fiorito's memories of his meetings with that man, Mr. Fiorito reminds me again of why I like his writing.
