Well heck. I'd no idea the company was doing so badly.

Weirdly, this past week I noticed that the local outlet malls no longer had the shops that sell Corelle & Pyrex. It's been years since I looked, though, so I don't know if that's a recent development.

Neither did I. I can't remember paying attention to the cookware sections in Canadian Tire, Home Hardware and the like recently, either.

It's kind of a shock to me too. We never had an InstantPot but we have quite a few Pyrex measuring cups and Corningware oven-to-table things like casseroles, quiche dishes, lasagne pans etc. I guess when those break, we'll have to find something else.

I've been looking at Anchor Hocking for replacement borosilicate glass cookware when I need it, but yes, this is a huge kitchen freakout for me as well.

Pyrex has not been borosilicate for a while now, I believe.

I can't even pretend to understand capitalism any more. The name "HBO" is pointless, and Pyrex/Corning is bankrupt? I'm starting to think that maybe free market capitalism does not efficiently provide the optimum distribution of resources, products, or wealth.

Interesting that it was the tanking of bonds that did them in, just like Silicon Valley Bank.

That's a surprise, I'd have thought their market position good enough that this indicates unnecessary foolishness behind the scenes.
