TV: Frustrations I'm Not Looking Forward To

I'm a Star Trek fan. I watch Coroner.

So CTV Sci-Fi and CBC TV have me in conflict with myself and since I'm not sure of the limits of the household PVR, I'm worried about how it's going to handle multiple shows I want to keep watching. All on the same night, different channels, my paranoid self is expecting.

Privileged peoples' problems, right?

Surely in space year 2022 your PVR can cope with two channels at once?

Test it. Set up two shows on different channels for ten minutes from now.

But not everyone has my internet speeds.

Despite recently upgrading my account's speed, I'm not sure how well my connection will work with CBC Gem for the purposes of watching Coroner, which seems the easiest workaround right now.

And yeah, my household - where I don't pay all of the entertainment media costs - still uses cable TV with channel numbers we need to remember.
