Huh. I mean, he looks pretty good in comparison to Chibs and Moff.

I would really prefer Mrs. Whittaker to be able to stick around, but she trusts Chibnall and vice versa. Since they've announced a joint departure...

I'm still relatively gobsmacked, because I can't recall any other show where a showrunner - especially one who's been on record previously saying that Dr. Who was definitely in his past - has come back.

I'd be unquestionably happy if The Moff returned (I think I'm in a minority, sizeable or not, who loved Moffat's tenure) but I've always liked and respected Rusty for bringing Who back, and some of his episodes were instant classics, so I guess I can hope for the best.

I'll be happy if Rusty's gained some maturity in the intervening years, and is able to deal with older female characters better than he dealt with them previously (I still glare in his direction about Harriet Jones and, to a lesser extent, Jackie Tyler, although he was pretty decent with Sarah Jane.)

ETA: Perhaps RTD could be convinced to name Jo Martin as the next Doctor. since she's already been introduced as a Doctor?

Did you see that Sylvester McCoy and his sidekick Ace are returning as Dr Who live action?! I don't recall ever seeing him broadcast, I think our local PBS had scheduling problems that late into the run.
