Two reasons I think I'll keep wearing them:

1. Pollen

2. Facial protection in winter

Those makes sense, right?

Meantime, I'm breaking for supper here.

I intend to continue wearing them when I'm fighting fascists, because I have a bunch of nice ones now and they're more comfortable than a bandana. But otherwise? I'll put up with the pollen and even the flu, because I find wearing masks so uncomfortable. The second I can stop doing it, I'm gonna stop doing it.

That, and you can still carry Covid even if you are vaxed. So until most folks have the shot, should still mask...

They've never been mandated street wear here and the sooner I can stop being mentally freaked every time I have to go into a space where they're required,the better I shall like it! :o(

There will be a bonfire of the vanities at some point!

They weren't mandated streetwear, but wearing them was the best way for pedestrians to have them when arriving at a shop and to not have issues when outdoor distancing failed (such as at a crosswalk).

I think there is going to be Issues now that the CDC is allowing that the science doesn't require the fully vaccinated to mask--it puts store clerks and so on back into the Please, Consider Others role.

Whether it's CDC or the Public Health Agency of Canada, I think I want to also save our retail staff neighbours some stress-endurance wear-and-tear. So...one more reason to keep masking up for the next few months. Maybe longer than end-of-whatever-month.
