I figure the bright side is that if the Democrats take the Senate then SCOTUS undo their legislating with some outrageous decisions then that gives plenty of political impetus and cover for reforming SCOTUS properly and there are many useful options on the table there. Okay, I notice my initial if, heh.

If the Dems get in, I don't think they'll be making a lot of big changes. We're looking at Republicans Lite.

With the likes of Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Pressley, etc. in active mode these days? I would hope that such pressures will push a Dem-run Congress and White House - please, let it be so! - further back towards a true centre than merely "Republicans Lite".
