When I was a kid my brother had a friend whose mother was a science teacher. They had a cuatamundi(sp?), a sort of South American raccoon, and this thing would run up your leg and lie down on your shoulders! Quite a surprise!
Apparently this particular capy passed away two years ago. The link to 'why does it limp' (it had scurvy young and did not grow to full size) lead to an obit and some lovely photos and video clips.
