We have almost sixty years of his brilliance, recorded for our great pleasure, to have around. He may not be with us in body anymore, but in spirit and in music he will forever live on.
The concert hall at my university (Concordia in Montreal) was named for him years ago. He got to see that tribute... but this now makes Christmas start with bad news 3 years in a row: the Tsunami, James Brown and now this.
