A Mixed Day

I feel like I accomplished some things today...45 minutes of walking exercise in the pursuit of various errands across town, and 2.4 kilometres on the stationary bicycle this afternoon.

Also, I've been feeling the joy go out of the day, partly because the usual stressors. And partly because we lost Carroll Spinney (AKA Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch) and René Auberjonois (AKA Odo, Clayton Endicott III, the original Father Mulcahy from Altman's movie version and many other characters of note and substance) today.

The evening hurts, and not in a good way right now.

I first saw René in Benson, then later in the MASH movie. My parents weren't much for going to the flicks. Of course I saw Sesame Street at a very early age, but didn't really understand initially that there was a person in Big Bird.
