Got some searching, researching and application-filing done this morning, along with some practice time on Photoshop CS4. (No, I am not using the Cloud version. Not planning to, for money reasons. If anyone's willing to pay me for gigs, specifying that I subscribe, they and I can have that conversation. Otherwise, I think if I pay for new graphic design-ware, it'll be for the Affinity suite.)

Death to subscription-based software. This is going to kill Adobe as dead as Quark XPress.

I find it impossible to argue with that. Because I don't want to.

I expect that reality may have a few complications in store for any such expectation, though.

I continue to use CS6 Suite at home. At work, my computer has CC2015, which I expect will be upgraded when my computer gets upgraded to Windows 10 later this year, but I don't have time for photo editing at work, at least currently.

Personally, if you do get a cloud subscription via a paying gig, DO NOT uninstall your CS4! Once that cloud subscription expires, go into the registry and Windows directories and rip it out, hammer and tong. But hold on to your CS4 CDs and registration codes for dear life!

If I get a subscription to Adobe CC, it'll be going on a separate machine. Probably the same one with the Affinity suite. And I'm not planning on using Windows at this point.
