JOBS: Laboratory Architect

Anyone in my friendlist here know any architects who want to specialize in designing laboratories? I found an ad via one of the local temp placement companies this afternoon?

Do they actually train architects to do this? My experiences with new laboratories tend to suggest otherwise...

I've seen it suggested that some specialize in hospitals, although I'd think that contracts for those are few and far between as well. Clearly, there's a gap in my knowledge of architecture as a business here.

Schools and colleges are probably the biggest customer by number of labs - also, unfortunately, generally short of funds and inclined to leave the planning to people who don't use the labs. Which is how my school ended up with two labs out of four that initially had no electrical sockets on most of the benches, a chemical store with inadequate ventilation and no shelves, and other fun errors.
