Morning Chores

Okay, three jobs applied for this morning so far, several temp companies to be contacted anew per standing procedures, and some federal job boards being searched as well. (Try to survive in Ottawa-Gatineau without looking at federal job boards. It can be done, I'm sure, but it will be difficult.)

I'm still confused as to why? Do people dislike jobs in government? I've never had one so I don't know.

Having grown up in a federal civil service family, I have a conflicted opinion about it all. I'd like to leave it firmly at that.

Everyone I know who has a federal job loves it. They're unionized.
