On Saturday after supper, I went to the advance polling station and marked my 'x' next to the candidate-party combination that seems most helpful for my riding.

The next morning, I woke up at 930 AM.

At least an hour and a half later than normal. I haven't been able to sleep that late on a Sunday in years.

It felt refreshing. And while I'm not sure the two events are connected, I'm not ruling it out either.

Our early voting starts soon. I'm reconsidering changing my registration to Republican so I can vote against the incumbents. When I first registered to vote all those years ago, I registered as R 'cause that's what my daddy was, and I didn't know better. Later, when I started thinking a little more for myself, I realized voting D was more in my philosophy and voted for them in the General and against the R incumbents in the Primary. When we married and I moved up here I re-registered, and I didn't want to re-register as a Republican and didn't want to register as a Democrat because of the feckless non-defense of Jim Kerry that they did when he was Swift Boated, so I registered as an Independent with no party preference. Because of that I can't vote in the primaries as our state does not have open primaries.
