Wow. I don't think being south of the border would have been bigoted enough for him, he needed some really serious therapy and no access to firearms. But as the article said, he made his family safe. I'm not sure for what values of safe, though.

I'll be interested to see what the sentence is that's handed down. Hopefully multiple consecutive life sentences.

He's made no one safe. No one at all. Regardless of what he believes he's done. I'd argue that he's made the situation worse for many of us across Canada.

Sadly, I agree.  All we can do is see what changes in November/January '19 and if he can be removed from office before the '20 cycle.  Then will come the joy of recovery and seeing what can be done to rebuild what he's damaged and how to prevent damage from the next one when they inevitably get in.

That is heartbreaking. There is no reasoning with someone that ill. I agree with you that he has made everything less safe for everyone, including his parents, but I suspect he would do the same again because there will never be anything sure enough to sooth him about his family's safety.
