I woke up at 430 AM EST this morning.

Admitting this: I'm scared now. For myself, sure, and for my country as well, but there's a lot of other people headed for Trouble long before it gets around to aiming at me. Some of you on that list are also on my friendlist here and have been for years. I want to help you, but I'm not sure how I can right now.

I suppose we'll figure it out as we go, but in the meantime...still here.

We've weathered a lot down here over the years: I was playing the CS&N song "Ohio" yesterday and ended up explaining to a coworker what it was about.

I did see reports on reddit and IO9 that your immigration web site locked up last night from overload...

Either the traffic levels have "calmed down" in the meantime, or whichever federal department/agency is handling the website for Citizenship and Immigration Canada has figured out how to manage the incoming traffic as of this morning. Reaching this conclusion because I've been able to look at the cic.gc.ca front page in the last hour or two.
