The biggest problem I always had with the Legion was that a large number of their members (and boy did they have a lotta members) were basically just Joe Average from Stretchplanet, where everyone can stretch, etc. When it's just Superman and his entire species is wiped out, okay, having his powers be natural to his race still doesn't take away his superness and doesn't undermine the idea of him being a superhero. But when there are literally BILLIONS of you out there, why is one of you going to be an awesome superhero and the rest just forgotten? Worse, if there's billions of you, why is your special power gonna matter much? The villains will surely plan for any reasonable contingency.

I also REALLY don't like the fact that they introduced more "Red Sun Native" species; to keep Superman special one REALLY needs to make Krypton basically unique.
