Marvel, the Milky Way Galaxy, Maps and Me
Aug. 31st, 2014 09:43 pmI keep thinking there's been a rough map marking out territories held by whom within the Marvel version of our galaxy. That it was published in a book written by Jonathan Hickman, and that it was relatively recent. Within, say, the last five years.
Google Image Search avails me naught.
Anyone? Am I misremembering this?

Date: 2014-09-02 02:38 am (UTC)The idea that "M-31" and the Andromeda Galaxy are separate galaxies, per that Annihilation-related map is one that goes back to the first Marvel Handbook, I think. Incomplete astronomy-related proofreading is likely to be at the heart of it, leading to a 30-year-old "whoops".
Placing the Shi'ar in M-101 (AKA the Pinwheel Galaxy) makes more sense to my mind than having them carve up M-31 with the Skrulls.
Alternatively, maybe M-33, the Triangulum Galaxy...?
Has anyone talked with Chris Claremont or Fabian Nicieza about this?
