Remembering the G-20 in Toronto from a couple of years ago, and thinking...that this latest imposition by our current Prime Minister upon my home city by choice is not a good thing. Maybe I'm under-reacting here?

Stock up on Pepto-Bismol to dump in your eyes. And remember, tuck your knees in to protect your stomach, wrap your arms around your head, hands across your face, and your feet tucked up to protect your nardlings.

A change of clothes at a friend's place across town would be wise, in case your neighborhood gets kettled.

Frankly, I'm not even sure it's going to get that far this time. There might be some marching and banner-waving, sure, but the kind of bad craziness that we saw at Ville de Québec and in Toronto seems a rarity hereabouts.

I guess we'll see. I've read Michael Geist's opinion piece, and I do think he's onto something productively useful.
