Looks like the same sort of thing Bush decided to do years ago. And it doesn't make me nervous, it makes me ill. It'd be nice if someone could remind Harper that getting a third of the votes cast in an election does not make for any kind of mandate.
Sadly, as we both remember too well, it's enough to make him "first past the post" by our current rules. He probably still figures that will always ensured to be Enough For A Mandate. Too many of the parties on the field at present still consider that a potential advantage not worth giving up for anything.
Also, I think the last person to remind him of others viewing things from your perspective(and mine) regularly's since been booted from the New Conservative caucus.
No arguments there on either score. Looking forward to seeing how this whole Clean Air Act Challenge plays out, personally, and I'm a little concerned about Mr. Strahl's moves against the Wheat Board of late.
