Thanks for those. Raven and I did that tour three or four (or was it two?) years ago on her suggestion. Quite a lot to my surprise, I really enjoyed the tour and found it surprisingly interesting.
It also helped me understand why, as a Toronto ex-pat, I found Ottawa's lighting system to be such an improvement over Hogtown's. Gotta love WALK buttons that actually work, and sensors that not only work, but that work for bicycles!
A good reminder of how much can be accomplished by a few people who don't have to worry about turning a quarterly profit, but instead about producing a public good.
