I can definitely see why young people get discouraged at election time. Look at our choices:

Conservatives = Corrupt Autocrats.

Liberals = Corrupt slightly left, Nepotists.

NDP = A good opposition party, but no one in their right mind would ever want them leading the country.

and the rest are too small or single focused to matter.

I mean Jeez, it's not so much electing the best party as trying to guess which one will do the least amount of damage this time. :-(

I have an Objection to your stance on the NDP (and to some extent with the Greens as well), based on past experience out in the prairies. But I believe that it really needs a stand-alone posting to explain it properly.
