On the subject of Coral Egan

I posted a week ago about Atlantis finally making Earth orbit, and what's the first response I get to that post trying to discuss?
Coral Egan and her MySpace page.
Spam? Probably. But it's also an odd coincidence, as the musician in question has been of some interest to me from time to time over the years.
I remember the first time I heard her perform as aa singer. Oddly enough, it was the theme music for one of Teletoon's series: CyberSix, based on a comic book series produced by Argentinians for the European comics market. All about a genetically-engineered woman grown to be a weapon in the hands of a Nazi survivor in South America somewhere, and who did not like the idea of living her life in such service. At all.
Suffice to say, some of the content and established character histories and whatnot had to be toned down to meet the expectations of North American traditions, but what was still there was worth the time spent watching. The series itself is a topic for another day.
Back to Ms. Egan.
She'd been hired by the Japanese-Canadian coalition that had adapted the comic series for TV to perform the theme music. A good choice, as it turned out: that theme nailed the tone of the series.
Fast-forward a couple of years, and I hear of her new album, My Favourite Distraction on CBC Radio One's Sounds Like Canada, and the lady herself in conversation with Shelagh Rogers. A solid half-hour's worth of effort in explaining where Ms. Egan comes from as a person and musician and in selling the album.
I go get it, come to suspect that not all of the tunes are intended for a male audience, but never mind that. It's of a piece with the CyberSix theme music in terms of quality work. A couple of items strike me as adaptable to specific comics characters. ("My Favourite Distraction", the title work of the album, fits particularly well for DC Comics' Pied Piper as a battle anthem.)
I'll likely keep an eye out for her other works from time to time, just because.
And if that theme music ever gets added to one of those albums, I'll be interested to know.
