So...I managed to trip on a suburban curb/kerb (depending on whether you use the North American or UK spelling) and ripped my hands up a little yesterday. Right palm is still a bit achey, and the left ring finger is healing. Slowly. Meanwhile, I still have to do data entry with these hands. Joy.

Listening to Cross-Country Checkup on CBC Radio was good for an hour or two of getting a sense of the nation's opinion on the future of the printed book and its electronic cousin. For myself, I'm not at all interested in dumping either paper or electronic format for the other exclusively. We can't afford to lose either method.
And Johnny Esaw is finally gone, I see.
For Canadians of a certain age range, he was TV sports coverage incarnate. No joke. You could not avoid seeing the man's face on your family's TV screen on the weekends in the 1970's and early 1980's.
