A shout-out to the Singing Driver

Okay, this morning on the radio, I heard the reports that OC Transpo's singing bus driver - whose name I now know to be Yves Roy - has been ordered to quiet down.

We've got Mayor Watson and Councillor Deans weighing in favour of the order, while opinion amongst my fellow bus passengers seems more than a tad divided.

I've heard this guy on several occasions. He's got talent as a singer, and he's kept more than a few days from going completely into the toilet as far as my emotional health was concerned. I'd much prefer he be free to keep singing.

But just in case, I'm going to recommend that my favourite watering holes try to hire him for gigs when he's off the OC Transpo clock.

And I'm going to ask OC Transpo (and the dissenting fellow bus passengers) to please back off a bit. Okay?

They should leave that driver alone and get rid of the abusive, swearing driver.

As noticed in the comments and elsewhere, the suggestion's being made. I've heard of a "Let Him Sing" Facebook group formed with at least the first half of that goal firmly in mind.
