Some notes, brief and not so much so...

Jim Henshaw writes of the effect of a show known in some places as Tropical Heat and in others as Sweating Bullets upon a large number of people in Serbia in the 1990's. Strangely, I've not yet seen much of that show, and yet it matters that I know what this series did for a great many people caught in a very bad situation.- I went to the anti-prorogation rally on Parliament Hill yesterday. I'm told second-hand by assorted sources that the RCMP put the attendance at 3,500 people. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a total attendance figure - an "everybody who showed up and stuck around for even 10-15 minutes" figure. And I don't want to hear if it ever gets revised downwards. I would be disappointed were I to believe such a charge.
