Between half of Place d'Orléans Mall suffering a blackout, nude bicyclists having the run of Rideau Street, and sights like this one in the parking lots of the University of Ottawa, I think today qualifies as Surrealism Day in Ottawa.

I remember thinking as they rode down Rideau that lifedrawing classes from Sheridan to McGill must've been seriously thrown off by the lack of models on duty this weekend.

nude bicyclists, eh? The Pride parade was today in Saskatoon, so we had MOSTLY naked people* in our streets -on bikes, on trucks, pushing strollers- but no fully nude bicyclists. What was the occasion?

Nothing to do with any Pride event this go-round, but rather some sort of world-wide pro-bicycling event, according to some news reports I just half-overheard on CBC Radio One.
