Been muddling through the day, getting lots of walking exercise as a result of assorted shopping errands. I think that if I can keep up this sort of pace, I'll be well on my way to keeping to my doctor's advice on this front.

james_nicoll or SpaceRef.com for some of the details of this particular root cause. I do hope that the Canadian Space Agency will be among those picking up some of that particular batch of explorational slack.
Also, I've been mulling over the possibility of going to San Diego this year. It's been three years since that last visit, and some of you who remember meeting me in person during that mad weekend will doubtless suspect that I have mixed feelings about my memories of that time, for many reasons I won't go into now. I am led to understand that if I want a room, I'd better move damned quick. This makes me think I should settle for Toronto again and be very happy to do so. We shall see what the fullness of time brings on that score.
