Last Week of June 2021

So, I've got my almost-noon hour appointment for my first vaccine dose today.

Still looking for a day job.

Family is still hanging in there.

First Dose Done

So that's taken care of. The people at the pharmacy where it was done tell me to expect a reminder about second dose in four weeks.

And it was Pfizer-BioNTech's vaccine I got today.

National Indigenous Peoples' Day 2021

I expect that whatever celebrations of Canada's existence, survival and evolution - hopefully to a much kinder coalition of nations - we have in future will be more distributed over the course of at least ten days. Not July 1st alone, not anymore. And it will start with this day. From Indigenous Peoples' Day to St. Jean-Baptiste Day to Canada Day. Ten days of observance, rather than celebration, makes more sense to me these days. At least for now.

Side effects?

Six or seven hours in, no side effects to the first dose yet.
