Unconvinced, Mr. Doucet
Jul. 4th, 2012 08:33 amClive Doucet believes this will be his last speech on any topic for the foreseeable future.
I'm unconvinced that this ought to be an accurate prediction. Or an accurate self-characterization. I'm hard-pressed to give a coherent explanation as to why that's so right this instant.
(The content of the speech itself, on the other hand, may be of some productive use.)
Fair warning: Mr. Doucet and I have both contributed work to Spacing Ottawa. We haven't spoken with each other much beyond that context.
