Sad News for Infrastructure News-Watchers

The Infrastructurist is calling it quits.

More on this later, probably with some recommendations of my own on what else to actively keep an eye on...and a request for recommendations from the audience to go with it, most likely.

Something else caught my attention from Prof. Krugman, mentioned in passing, emphasis mine:

So Mr. Romney’s claims about the Obama job record aren’t literally false, but they are deeply misleading. Still, the real fun comes when we look at what Mr. Romney says about himself. Where does that claim of creating 100,000 jobs come from?

Well, Glenn Kessler of The Washington Post got an answer from the Romney campaign. It’s the sum of job gains at three companies that Mr. Romney “helped to start or grow”: Staples, The Sports Authority and Domino’s.

Romney was involved with Staples/Business Depot? Via this Bain Capital outfit that some of his rivals for the US Republican Presidential nomination are using to rake him over the coals about at the moment?

And they currently have their hooks into the Dollarama retail chain as well? The same retail chain that just moved into Elgin Street's old Goldstein's grocery location?

No, I'm not sure where I'm going with these connections I've stumbled onto. Maybe it matters, maybe not.
