The Covid numbers i'm seeing (tracked from day 1) tell me that the REPORTED infection rate is about half of what it was during the first two-ish years. I'm tracking U.S. and Michigan reported numbers for infections and deaths. Deaths are down a lot more than infections, but there are no "numbers" for who's twice or three times infected, and damage from being infected is cumulative. Last article i read says there's a measurable IQ drop in many of those infected and it goes down for each infection the person has.
Now, if they're reporting about half as many, the fun fact is that it's much higher than that reported number. Also, there's lots of "red" states and areas that have quit reporting.
So the short form of all this is that "NO" the Covid pandemic is not even close to over. We can give thanks to all those MAGA and other science deniers.
