Design: Brushes

Digital artists: you've all found yourselves gravitating to specific brushes in whatever programs you use, haven't you.

Yeah, there are maybe 4 I use on a regular basis, and two are default rounds.

I have a minor habit of buying brushes from artists and I have multiples of a few brushes because several artists have the same one in their collections. One, which looks like three short, scattered lines is usually called Feng Zhu after the artist who created it, I assume, and the other one, a vertical rectangle with ragged edges, I have under multiple names but I first encountered it named Daniels.

I’ve finally been copying the brushes I use over to a different folder so I don’t have to go searching for the each time. I also have been moving away from standard round brushes because I’m working on adding more texture in my work and when I use the round brushes I end up with a more airbrushed effect.
