Everyone else who should be, and cares enough to be, already is worried.
When promises like this are made right out in the open, it speaks of dangerous levels of confidence held by those making them. Dangerous, whether it's justified or hubris.
I have always felt they govern in the best interests of the USA. Here is proof positive of it.

Now if we can only decide in sufficient numbers who it is we'd actually want instead. I seem to recall that our current predicament came about in some part because we couldn't reach that particular consensus.
