Odd Thing This Morning

During my exercise/mental health walk, I found a credit card issued by a Colombian bank on the sidewalk of a surburban street in my city this morning. I'm not going to say where in the city, which bank, which credit card brand, for obvious reasons. Anyway, I dropped it off at the local fire station, and the firefighters who took it off my hands will pass it along to the police, and hopefully it gets dealt with as needed from there.

The oddness of it was just seeing the thing at all. Granted that Ottawa's a national capital city, so people from all over the planet are going to visit - or live, for months to years at a time, temporarily - and it was still odd to see a credit card in any language other than English or French.

Hopefully, it gets back to the person to whom it was issued, or rendered harmless to that person.

–– just had to relate to the "mental" part of your walks...

at almost exactly 8.30 every night, i walk for an hour (45 min at least)... and i swear it helps me to get my mind back from the day (when it was burnt)...

helps me go to bed with a clean slate..

I had a similar experience while living in New York; I looked up the bank and walked it over to their nearest branch and handed it to a teller.

There's a very good chance that this is some ambassador's kids' credit card that got lost. You mighta done a good. You mighta done a bad. Hard to say; your heart is in the right place and regardless of the outcome you were very Canadian and that's something.

This is a really interesting coincidence. At such moments, it may seem that it is an object from another planet or from another dimension.
