I have spine issues that make sitting for 2-3 hours hugely painful, and an intermission that could allow me to move around would make watching movies a lot more comfortable for me.
Plus it would help the cinema. Like I restrict how much I eat/drink because I don't want to have to get up for a toilet break, but if there were an intermission and I could, all bets would be off.
It certainly would be nice for the longer movies, particularly Marvels.
I remember when one of my best friends told me about showed Monty Python and the Holy Grail to his parents at their house and the "intermission" started. Just enough time for them to get out of their seats, almost to the doorway of the living room, and the movie resumed. Several "Damn it!"s ensued!
I would like them because I'm one of those who can't make it two to two and a half hours without going to the bathroom even if I get nothing to eat/drink. I actually stopped going to the movies before COVID for this reason, because I can't hold it and when I get back I've usually missed something important. If there was an intermission I'd be much more likely to buy something to eat/drink because then I wouldn't have to worry.

it would also help for people who need to get up and stretch for chronic pain,
or people who need to get up and stretch because they are at high risk of blood clots...
