Eye Clinic Schedules and Pandemics

A weird thing that's happened this past week: I got a text message from my regular eye-care clinic, telling me that my regularly scheduled check-up originally set for December 2021 has been cancelled because of COVID-19 considerations. This, despite my reasonable expectation that I will be fully vaccinated before that point.

This strikes me as very strange...out of character for the clinic, I'd say.

That's curious. Now, granted, they have a tremendous backlog of people to see, it doesn't make sense to cancel people so far in advance when there's an excellent chance most of the area will be vaccinated by then. Cancel maybe a month in advance and start working people in as you can, considering your future calendar is pretty empty.
