Job Search: Complaints About Websites

I've been avoiding LinkedIn because I'm worried about being pushed into declaring for one line of work over others that I have experience and skills for and interest in. Now, it's starting to feel like I'm getting messages from Indeed that are prompts to do exactly what I believe I can't afford to do.

A couple of months ago I got a call from a NASA contractor wanting me to interview. I'd interviewed with them probably 3 years ago for a job next to Las Cruces, which would require me moving there, located on White Sands Missile Range. They do environmental monitoring and remediation on the test range when they do rocket motor testing.

I really wanted the job - THEN - but they ghosted me after the interview. Now they want me to interview again? I told them no thanks, I'm retired from IT. And to move during the pandemic? Serious no thanks. Plus I love my job at the library and have zero interest at getting back into IT, plus having to yet again establish a second household. Commuting almost 90 minutes one-way just isn't viable, it'd kill me doing that drive every day!

A 90-minute commute each way while riding buses and/or trains is hard enough. Given the added strains of having to be the driver?
