Good for polar orbits, and avoids the whole ITAR mess of a US launch. Still, the lack of a reliable rail link is a drawback (the same issue with Churchill).

The lack of any rail link in Canso's case! Churchill at least has one, however problematic it's been over the last decade.

As to what the closest rail service currently is? So close, and yet so far...

Also, taking VIA east of Quebec City will induce seasickness, the rail bed is in such rough shape.
