Yes, but basing a nazi supervillain on an actual present-day neo-nazi (even if he refuses to say the loud bits loud in front of a non-sympathetic audience) is, if not a stroke of genius, at least a factor liable to make the supervillain plausibly evil. Unlike Dr. Dinosaur. (Not the Atomic Robo Dr. Dinosaur; the Spiderman one.)

Yeah, Vincent Stegron is somewhat odd in his fixations, isn't he? Great original design by Gil Kane, but I have to wonder what Len Wein saw back in the 1970s that made Stegron's thinking believable.
