I think I need a new surge suppressor.

Not because the ones I'm using are bad for any real reason(s), but because neither of them are able to cope with all the different ways that wall-socket plugs for the power cords for my devices are physically designed. But Canada Computers has a branch across the street from the local pharmacy and grocery stores, so that shouldn't take too long to resolve. And I'll be able to gift one of my older suppressors to someone who can use it. Soon, hopefully. So, there's that.

Time for my morning exercise walk.

Surge suppressors can be such huge PITBs. I remember when I was working for the State back in the late '80s, I had a new box of them come in: and they had pretty much a 100% failure rate in the last socket on the frame. Drove me nuts. So I took to wrapping the last socket in electrical tape and never using it, telling the user to never use it, because it would fail. Must have been a cold solder job or something.

Sometimes you can find ones that have the sockets that are at right angles and adequately spaced to plug in power adapters. I also prefer the ones that have right angle power plugs. But I've yet to find the perfect surge suppressor.

Glad to hear it!  I need to buy some tech: one of my two 5 TB backup drives failed, I usually count on one of my four backup drives to fail roughly annually.  So right now my iMac's backup is a bit stale, but the info on it doesn't change that rapidly.
