The red line - Cases outside mainland China - shows the start of a major decline in new cases each day just as March is coming to an end. I expect this to be updated daily, and that there will be a brief, upward spike due to cases revealed to have been unwittingly contracted and recovered from once reliable mass testing really gets rolling.

Good news here would be accurate recovery figures- we are just not getting that right at all!

This is true. The numbers I've been able to look at so far suggest a 20-21 % recovered-to-date percentage of those infected so far. And those recoveries are probably all over the map, as it were, in terms of quality of recovery. But I'm not a virologist, molecular biologist, or statistician.
