I paid for next month, and I'm not planning to cancel. Why? Because, regardless of where this mess takes us next, I might actually need to use the service.

VTA in Santa Clara County and AC Transit in the East Bay are cutting schedules but also not collecting fares.

Our news described a similar cut-back in local train/bus ridership here in Denver. They have been chronically short of drivers for many months so cutting back their schedules will actually help them manage existing staff rather than put drivers out of work.

So Denver's been like Ottawa in terms of that driver shortage issue, then.

They've cut tube trains down in London and are now griping that the remaining trains are overcrowded and people can't keep 'social distance' while getting to work.

Well duh!
