Have you any strong opinions one way or the other on which (kinds of) graphics/drawing tablets are affordable or good to use? Hope you feel better for having drawn anyway. (-: My daughter Miranda takes art and loves to draw and has been trying out the USB tablets her high school has (can't remember which brand).
I've been working off and on with an Wacom Intuos 4 for over a decade, and I am still trying to get comfortable with it. Affordability...since I try to avoid buying new hardware if I can...is something I define with caution.
If I could set aside affordability issues? I'd go for Wacom's Cintiq monitor/tablet. Laura Martin swears by it for her comics-colouring work. Scott McCloud, likewise, for just-plain-drawing.
