It feels like the weather is scary everywhere this year :(

A friend was supposed to drive back to LA from Las Vegas yesterday and got turned back because of this storm.

It's the first time I can recall, in 20+ years of living in Las Vegas, that Mountain Pass was closed overnight. Most closures are very short in duration.

It rained for hours in Vegas last night and there was heavy snow in the mountains. I feel for those folks who got stuck in Baker or Primm.

And it's even thus whenever it withholds anything resembling what I might call "wrath".
