Perhaps a month ahead of the official Solstice, yet still Winter for all that.

We got our first snow of the season yesterday. I'm not crazy about having to shovel off my car or the slip-sliding, but it's better than having 70F-degree weather in November. I feel sort of cheated out of autumn this year.

As one who's had to carry the shovel himself, and will again, I sympathize.
