It was a good day. Went downtown, got my newspapers and went home again. Chores got done, Cross-Country Checkup was listened to, and I disposed of some leftovers for supper.

Week three starts tomorrow, and I don't expect to lose any paid time to dental appointments this week. More later.

How was cross-country check-up? What's the mood of the country?

Answering the second question first: I'd call the mood mixed, but not disastrous at the moment.

As for the phone-in show I named, it was okay. The first hour was not memorable to me. The second was split between Q&A sessions featuring Green Party leader Elizabeth May and CBC Chief Correspondent emeritus Peter Mansbridge.

I don't feel like the Green Party is proving themselves ready for Prime Time, but I always like hearing Elizabeth May speak.

Agreed that a number of their candidates needed better vetting. May herself is the best asset the Canadian Greens have had for the last couple of decades. I fear for their fortunes once she leaves the scene.
