I am not accepting job interview invites via Google Hangouts. Someone already tried to ID-theft me via that route once. Never again.

It seems like you're not having luck with most of the methods of interviewing online? Or at least two, now?

Sounds about right...and wrong, at the same time.

You know, you'd think the people trying to commit identity theft would be clever enough to realize that targeting people with no jobs or low-paying ones aren't going to yield a lot of return. They need to target rich people: they already have crappy credit scores, but the return for the time invested in their scams will be much higher.

I have a Gmail account specifically for job apps, it's used exclusively for that and SQL Server stuff. My actual email stuff is never given out to people with whom I interview. When I started at the library I had to create yet another Gmail account to tie in to the scheduling system - they use Google Calendar, and that actually worked well because I was able to use that Gmail account to tie in to a library list serve and not have that list serve pollute a working email account.
